Silhouettes are some of my favorite photos, especially when they are tack sharp. That is not something that just happens. There are a few techniques to accomplish it so I went and tried my hand at it on Thursday. That night the sunset created this cool transition from orange to blue so the goal was to catch the vibrant colors while just getting the silhouette of the trees. It ended up needing a 15 second exposure stopped down to a tight aperture of f/22. I am excited to take some more of these types of shots with a client for his senior photos on the lake. There is always something new to learn!
